Christmas cards with watercolour and heat embossing

Hey!

I have some more Christmas cards for you today. For this series of cards I wanted to use watercolours so I came up with a simple design that doesn’t demand master painting skills.

I draw a lot of same size triangles with embossing pen on a watercolour paper and also draw zig-zaggy line inside each triangle so that they look more like Christmas trees. I then heat embossed everything with gold embossing powder and coloured the triangles with watercolour paints.  After the paint dried I cut the triangles out. I tried a couple of different backgrounds for them. Some of the ‘trees’ I adhered directly to the card base, for others I used some patterned paper. I’m still not sure which one is my favourite!
